Internationally renowned and recognised as three of today’s most successful musicians, we are delighted that violist Timothy Ridout, clarinettist Matthew Hunt and pianist Alasdair Beatson have been willing to trade London’s Wigmore Hall for Dore Abbey, Abbeydore.
Their programme includes works by Mozart, Debussy, Bruch, Clara Schumann and Rebecca Clarke.

Flutes and Frets: 12th August 2023

Since their first collaborations at the Royal College of Music, Beth Stone and Daniel Murphy have sought to shine a light on generations of music originally composed for flutes and plucked instruments. Their programme “It’s About Time” includes on a journey through the centuries as they present a chronological programme that showcases how music and instruments have transformed over time.
Performing works on flutes and fretted instruments, they explore a variety of music from the past 500 years – from Dowland to Piazzolla.

Vibrant, spirited and bold, Connaught Brass have quickly made a name for themselves as a fresh talent in the chamber music world. Artists of the Tillett Trust, City Music Foundation and Kirckman Concert Society, they attended the prestigious Britten Pears Chamber Music Residency in 2022.
From the fanfare and atmosphere of Andresen, Lutoslawski and Longworth, to the drama and passion of Bizet’s Carmen – there’s something in their programme to satisfy every taste.
