Concerts for Craswall’s 2026 season came to a wonderful conclusion on Saturday evening, 10 October, with an outstanding performance by Lumas Winds at St Michael’s Church, Michaelchurch Escley.

Fresh from an exceptional run of competition successes, including First Prize at the 2026 Lyon International Chamber Music Competition and the 71st Royal Overseas League Annual Music Competition, this exciting young wind quintet delighted the audience with a performance combining virtuosity, musical flair and infectious energy. Their varied programme showcased both the versatility of the wind quintet and the ensemble’s impressive musical personality.

It was particularly lovely to welcome flautist Beth Stone back to Concerts for Craswall, following her appearance here with the Flutes & Frets Duo in August 2023, this time performing alongside her talented colleagues in Lumas Winds.

Our warmest thanks go to the musicians for such a memorable evening, to everyone who came along to support the concert, and to the volunteers whose hard work helps make these events possible. We are also grateful to the Countess of Munster Musical Trust for sponsoring the concert.

It was a fitting finale to our 2026 season, and we look forward to welcoming audiences back for more outstanding chamber music in the coming year.
