Remaining 2020 Concerts Postponed

Important notice to all Friends and event attendees:

At this unprecedented time, whilst continuing to monitor updates from the government and until further notice, the planned main concerts in July and October 2020, and the extra one in August 2020 are to be postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date where viable.

The continued uncertainty regarding live performances, new guidance from the Church of England regarding the re-opening of their buildings for public events, and the travel restrictions currently in place in some countries including the quarantine measures being introduced for visitors to the UK, the trustees of Concerts for Craswall have concluded that there is no practical or realistic possibility of arranging any live performance events for an audience this year.

For those upcoming events which are affected, ticket holders can expect us to be in contact in due course regarding their purchase. We will be  exchanging tickets to rescheduled dates where possible or offering full refunds where not. If you have any queries, please email us and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.

The Charity plays an important role in Craswall and our annual summer concert in Dore Abbey is likewise the key musical event for both the Charity and the Abbey. However, our community comes first and therefore this decision has not come lightly. It is with a heavy heart that we have reached this conclusion coming as it does after the earlier postponement of our March concert.  Programming these events takes time and for the musicians the consequences of cancellation or postponement are economically and artistically challenging.  This year we were particularly looking forward to a wonderful series of concerts with musicians from both the UK and abroad.  On a more optimistic note, our rescheduled programme for the 2021 season is almost confirmed, and we hope to communicate that news soon.

In the meantime, the trustees will be constantly reassessing our position and with creativity at our core, we will be looking at ways to spread positivity and keep spirits high by means of some online music offerings from those musicians who were to perform for us in 2020 as well as a few favourite artists from the past. We are determined that Concerts for Craswall will emerge from this challenge stronger and more vibrant than ever.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us. That support is vital to both Concerts for Craswall and our visiting musicians. We extend our best wishes to everyone.
