Featuring repertoire for flute, viola and harp spanning three centuries, it offers an imaginative programme. From Debussy’s Sonata for flute, viola and harp, and Syrinx, to Rameau’s Deuxième concert in G major, RCT 8 (from Pièces de clavecin en concerts); Sir Richard Rodney Bennett’s Sonata after Syrinx, and Sir Arnold Bax’s Elegiac Trio. Also Benjamin Graves’ Scherzo (written specifically for the ensemble), concluding with Gershwin’s A Foggy Day – Love Walked In (arranged by Stephen Roberts).
